On May 12, the Fukui Blowinds of the B2 Eastern Conference announced that Perry Ellis would leave the team at the end of the 2025-26 season due to the expiration of his contract.
Ellis, a 32-year-old American who stands 202 cm and weighs 100 kg, plays as a power forward. He began his professional career in the NBA G League and made his B.League debut in the 2020-21 season with the Ehime Orange Vikings.
He joined Fukui in the 2023-24 season. In his third season with the team, he played 53 games in the B1 League, averaging 12.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
In a statement regarding his departure, Ellis said, “I would like to thank everyone in Fukui for supporting me and my family over these three seasons. The days in Fukui will remain wonderful memories in my heart forever. I was able to meet so many kind people. Thank you so much!”
