AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala has hinted that he could leave the club at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Argentine played a key role in Roma’s 3-2 victory over Parma in Serie A Matchday 36, showcasing his technical brilliance to help the team secure three points. The result gave Roma momentum heading into their final home game of the season against Lazio.
After the match, Dybala suggested his time with the Giallorossi might be coming to an end. “The Lazio match will probably be my last game playing for Roma at the Stadio Olimpico,” he said, as reported by *La Gazzetta dello Sport*.
“The club hasn’t contacted me about a contract renewal. I also want to know what will happen in the future. According to my contract, I will leave Roma after the next two matches. What do I think? I’ll keep my opinion to myself. We’ll see what happens.”
Dybala joined Roma from Juventus in 2022. Since then, he has recorded 45 goals and 27 assists in 138 official appearances for the club.
Although Dybala is reportedly willing to stay in Rome even with a reduced salary, his future remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Argentine giants Boca Juniors are expected to move for the forward.
Looking ahead to the final stretch of the season, Dybala said: “We hope the teams ahead of us will slip up. We still believe we can qualify for the Champions League. We will give everything in training. This team is hungry. Now, we are fired up for the derby.”
Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini responded to Dybala’s comments about a potential exit: “Did he really say that? We still have a week until the derby, so let’s see what happens. Paulo was excellent today, he showed great quality. It’s a shame he has been out of the team for such a long period this season. Especially before his long-term absence, he was performing very well. I hope we won’t regret it. I believed it could have been a great year for him.”
