I cheated on my boyfriend

Im 18 and having been dating for 4 years. Hes 22. It was a long distance relationship. We've loved each other all our lives but recently broke up in december after continuous fueds. I tried my best to convince him to get back but he wasnt ready to.

A month later i start dating this other guy. And move to the same place my ex stays at for education. I saw my ex more often and we started sleeping together whileni tried multiple times to break up with my current boyfriend and he wouldnt let it happen. And now i was kinda double dating until my ex saw messages from my current boyfriend and is completely damaged. I feel so ashamed but i dint mean to hurt him so much. Im so guilty i let someone so good down for a relation tht just happened for confidence.

My ex called me.up ystrrsday and was crying on the phone and kept asking me why i did this to him. Im nt justifying what i did n i know it was wrong. But i feel so so ashamed.
