Tadej Pogacar is preparing to take the spotlight for the seventh time this season. After an exceptional spring campaign that included the Strade Bianche and the first four Monuments, the ‘Little Prince’ will continue his stage-race preparation with the Tour de France on the horizon.
The first part of Pogacar’s personal schedule was tailored for the classics, but the UAE Team leader didn’t disappoint in his stage-race debut. After dominating the Tour de Romandie, where he took four wins in six stages, Pogacar now sets his sights on the Tour de Suisse.
Following the same path as in Romandie, Pogacar enters the Tour de Suisse with the clear aim of adding one of the few WorldTour stage races still missing from his palmares. As usual, the Slovenian is the overwhelming favorite for overall victory, though Remco Evenepoel stands as a strong contender to deny him glory. Beyond the Red Bull-BORA leader, riders like Matteo Jorgenson and Lenny Martínez are expected to put up a fight.
